Our baby boy, Daniel,
was born on Sunday 29th March at 11.09pm at Whipps Cross Hospital - spot on the
expected arrival date. Thanks to all staff at the hospital - the care and
attention was first class. We had chosen Richard as a first name but we changed
to Daniel two days after the birth. Amazingly one of the midwives actually knew
someone called Richard Berrecloth - how scary is that! Both Julie and baby are
fine - he weighed 8lb 7oz. Delivery was by ceasarian section due to insufficient
dilation towards the end of the labour. It was actually a relief to both of us
when the decision was made. Julie was in the labour ward for a total of 56 hours
(Sat 28th 7.00am - Mon 30th 3.00pm) but was still in surprisingly good spirits
at the end. She was in hospital from Thursday 26th March until Saturday 4th
April totalling 9 days admission. Would we go though it all again? If it's like
this - not on your nelly.
